Macroscopie – Sporophores solitaires ou grégaires, charnus. Chapeau convexe puis déprimé à infundibuliforme, (3-)4-6 cm diam.; revêtement tomenteux furfuracé, finement squamuleux-hirsute, non séparable, bistre à gris jaunâtre; marge convexe, lobée. Hyménophore longuement décurrent, à lamelles peu serrées, assez étroites, de longueur différente, parfois fourchues, irrégulièrement et assez faiblement veinulées à la base, rosâtre sale, orangées vers l’arête. Pied 3-6 × 0,7-1 cm, plein, cylindrique ou légèrement élargi vers la base, d’abord blanc au sommet et ocracé sale à la base puis entièrement gris jaunâtre, hirsute au sommet. Chair fibreuse, molle, jaunissant à la coupe. Odeur faible, fruitée. Goût doux. Sporée rose ocracé pâle.
Microscopie – Spores courtement ellipsoïdes, 7,5-9 × 3,5-4,5 µm, jaunâtres, lisses. Basides 37-63 × 7-8 µm, 4(-5)-spores. Anses d'anastomose absentes.
Ecologie – Ectomycorrhizien, associé à Gilbertiodendron dewevrei, Berlinia grandiflora, Uapaca somon; forêt dense humide, forêt galerie, miombo.
Macroscopy – Sporophores solitary or gregarious, fleshy. Cap convex then depressed to infundibuliform, (3-)4-6 cm diam.; pileipellis furfuraceous tomentose, finely squamulous-hirsute, inseparable, bistre to yellowish grey; margin convex, lobed. Hymenophore long decurrent, lamellae remote, fairly narrow, of different lengths, sometimes forked, irregularly and fairly weakly veined at base, dirty pinkish, orange towards the ridge. Stipe 3-6 × 0,7-1 cm, solid, cylindrical or slightly widened towards the base, first white at the top and dirty ochraceous at the base, then entirely yellowish grey, hirsute at the top. Flesh fibrous, soft, yellowing when cut. Odour weak, fruity. Taste mild. Spore print pale pink ochraceous.
Microscopy – Spores short ellipsoid, 7.5-9 × 3.5-4.5 µm, yellowish, smooth. Basidia 37-63 × 7-8 µm, 4(-5)-spores. Clamp connections absent.
Ecology – Ectomycorrhizal, associated with Gilbertiodendron dewevrei, Berlinia grandiflora, Uapaca somon; dense rain forest, gallery forest, miombo.
Distribution connue / Known distribution – Bénin, Cameroun (Buyck et al., 2018), R.D. Congo, Tanzanie (Härkönen et al., 2003).
